Terms of Use
Welcome aboard, fellow fan. These terms set the rules for using Affarion. They cover the forum, the lore guides, and every article on the site. Read them once. We kept them short.

The agreement
By using Affarion you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please close the tab. The agreement covers every page on the affarion.com domain. It also covers our forum and any newsletters we send.
These terms work alongside our privacy notice and cookie policy. Each document has its own page. Reading all three takes less than ten minutes.

How you may use the site
Affarion is free for personal, non-commercial reading. You can quote short passages. Please link back to the source article when you do.
You may not scrape pages at machine speed. You may not re-host full articles on another site. Training a model on our content also needs written permission.

Community ground rules
Our forum runs on goodwill. Be kind. Tag spoilers. Use real questions instead of bait. New fans deserve patient answers.
Moderators may remove posts that break these rules. Repeat offenders lose posting rights. Ban appeals go to the contact channel at the bottom of this page.

Fan submissions
You keep the copyright in any post, comment, or fan essay you share with us. You grant Affarion a non-exclusive license. That license lets us display, edit lightly, and archive your work on the site.
Only submit work that you made. Crediting another fan in the body is fine. Posting their work as your own is not.

Intellectual property
Star Wars, all character names, and related marks belong to Lucasfilm Ltd. and The Walt Disney Company. Affarion is an independent fan site. We are not affiliated with either company.
Our own logo, layout, and editorial writing belong to Affarion. Please ask before reusing them outside fair quotation.

Third-party links
We link out to other fan sites, official trailers, and primary sources. We do not control those pages. Visit them at your own pace and judgement.
A link is never an endorsement. We try to flag broken or risky links quickly. Email us if you spot one.

Disclaimers
Affarion is a fan project written by enthusiasts. We work hard to fact-check lore claims. Even so, the site is offered as-is, with no warranty of any kind.
Plot summaries may carry minor errors. Treat them as a helpful guide rather than canon record.

Limits of liability
Affarion is not liable for indirect damages from your use of the site. That includes lost time, missed plot reveals, or hurt feelings about a fan theory.
Where the law does not allow a full exclusion, our total liability is capped at one hundred US dollars.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when laws change or features ship. The version number at the top of the page rises with every update.
Material changes get a short note in the newsletter and a forum thread. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.

Questions, complaints, and takedown notices all go to one mailbox. We aim to reply within five working days. Polite mail gets a faster answer.
